Sony Xperia S Yellow Screen Issue

Sony Mobile have come clean and confessed that there is a problem with their new Xperia S’ 4.3 inch display. According to Sony “a limited number of Xperia S smart phones may show a slight yellow tint if exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius”

This is not good news to anyone who wished to purchase this phone, although Sony stated it is limited to a “small number of units” and that its manufacturing process has been corrected in order to resolve the issue.

Sony says that if this issue is affecting your beloved Xperia S, they recommend you contact your local customer service centre and they will “resolve this at no cost to the consumer”, which I guess is an upside.

The Xperia S is the second gadget recently released to have issues with heat. Apple’s new iPad was ridiculed with overheating issues but apparently it operates within its thermal specification.. which is good news if you live somewhere cold as it means it’s an alternative way to keep you warm during the winter months.
