Just as we were all starting to get a pang of "oh no, have i made the right decision in getting an iPhone", something so adorable appears that we all coo around it like a new puppy!
Well it's happened: Engadget.com reports that despite dreams of the iControlPad slipping further away from becoming reality, we can all get excited about a prototype of the iPhone Game Pad.
Now, it doesn't fit with the usually sleek and cutting edge design that we typically associate with Apple, but it turns your iPhone into a game console, so let's not get on out high horses too much.
Bad news is at present it is a prototype and it's only available for original iPhones, however a 3G/3GS model is promised at some point.
Now, this works by slipping over the iPhone to leave you with something that looks like a cross between the under belly of a Nintendo DS with the buttons of the original Game Boy.
It has 4 primary control buttons, a D-Pad and two shoulder buttons on the top.
