So, everyone already knows that Apple's much-anticipated iPad 2 is going to feature a front-facing camera, but what other extras are going to be packed into the must-have tablet of 2011?
Apple has reportedly started production of a lighter, thinner, faster iPad – with a mysterious prototype supposedly being spotted earlier in the month at the launch of Rupert Murdoch's iPad-only newspaper, The Daily.
A number of reports suggest that one new feature will be a Light Peak data transfer port. Pictures have shown an unidentified port on the back of the new iPad, and Apple has previously expressed an interest in taking up Intel's latest technology.
Light Peak offers similar functionality to USB – something many fans have been begging to be included on the new iPad – only it works via laser and is considerably faster.
That's macrumours.com's theory, anyway. They're quick to clarify that it's just a theory, and Apple is remaining typically tight-lipped on the subject.
No one even knows yet when it's going to be released. The smart money is on April, but this is Apple we're talking about, so exactly when the iPad 2 sees the light of day is anyone's guess.
If you need a tablet PC now, including the current iPad, take a look at what we've got on offer here at Purely Gadgets.
