Will Chrome OS oust Windows for netbook users?

Microsoft Window's domination of the computer operating system (OS) market is not going to be troubled by Google's Chrome OS, according to computing experts at PC Pro.
Barry Collins, features and online editor at PC Pro magazine, said: Google's product - set for launch in the next few months - is "almost on a different model to Microsoft and the chances of it unseating Windows are very slim".
He explained that Chrome basically works on the cloud, making it little more than a browser, while Windows is based on the local computer.
In addition, while the popularity of the iPad has seen Apple's OS edge up gradually over the years, this also poses little threat to Microsoft's pre-eminence in the field.
