Why does Apple not want to outsell HTC?

Apple does want to become the biggest seller of mobile phones in the world.
That may not seem entirely accurate to anyone looking at recent sales figures showing the iPhone has replaced Research In Motion's Blackberry as the best-selling smartphone on the market.
But it is the view of CNET UK, the technology reviews website, which reckons the main motivator for Apple is profit, not market share.
They have a very different aim to Nokia, explained the site's mobile phones editor Flora Graham, who pointed out the iPhone 4 is "really expensive" and out of reach for most people.
Apple may only have "a tiny slice of the market", but they own "a massive slice of the profit", she added.
