Don't you just hate it when you're half way through a phone call and your mobile decides to cut out?
Well, soon we may be able to get our phone batteries charged up through speech, rather than drain the power while in conversation.
Scientists in South Korea have produced a piece of technology that allows sound to be transferred into useable power, which could then be transferred into giving new life to a mobile.
Dr Sang-Woo Kim, who helped bring the concept to prototype form, told the Daily Telegraph that "sound … has been overlooked as a [power] source", though this could be about to change.
