Drivers with an HTC Desire or Desire Z will be able to call on the navigational expertise of TomTom more easily in the future.
This is because the two companies have teamed up so that the HTC Locations service comes pre-loaded with TomTom's 'location-rich' maps. Initially it'll just be for Desire and Desire Z owners, but it's expected to be rolled out to other models in the future.
With the maps being preloaded, users will be able to access them more quickly, which can only be a good thing.
However, drivers wanting turn-by-turn directions will need to pay for them and download them through HTC Locations or HTC Sync.
So if you want to take advantage of the new service, you could buy an HTC Desire here at PurelyGadgets, or if you want a stand-alone satnav, you can get one of them here too.
