It's what fans of gadgets have been talking about for months – the iPad 2 is finally here and it seems to be living up to the hype.

Well, first of all it's a third thinner than the original and up to 15 per cent lighter, which will make it even easier to carry around on the Tube.
The iPad 2 runs on a new dual core A5 processor chip, which Apple says delivers twice the CPU performance and up to nine times the graphics capability of its older brother.
And it comes with the same assortment of Wi-Fi and 3G options with either 16, 32 or 64GB of storage, all running on the same ten-hour battery pack.
