Samsung is taking on photography giants Nikon and Sony with its new ergonomic camera that is specifically designed to fit into the palm of your hand. The Samsung ST6500 uses design concepts from its camcorders to be easy to hold and take a steady shot. It certainly looks different, with a curvy appearance that is far removed from your usual point-and-click digital cameras. But it is more than just a clever concept - the camera packs plenty of pixel punch with 16 million of them. Behind the 5x optical zoom, 26mm wide-angle lens is a three-inch LCD touch screen with Smart Touch 3.0 user interface. The digital camera also boasts 720p HD video recording and playback. It will be hitting the shelves in the US in March, but for now PurelyGadgets has plenty of cool digital cameras from Nikon, Sony and Panasonic.
