According to the media regulator, the typical British broadband user has seen their speed jump from 6.2 megabits last November to 6.8 megabits in May.
That means that over a six-month gap, we've seen our broadband increase its average pace by a healthy ten per cent.
Ofcom's chief executive Ed Richards believes that "we are now seeing consumers increasingly move to higher rated services and enjoying genuinely faster speeds" as a result.
