When most developers are coming up with ideas for camera phones, they usually start with phone and then tag on a camera; however, Panasonic aren't most developers.
Their big idea is to have a leading camera brand and develop a phone to go with it – the result being the Lumix Phone, which has been unveiled at the Japanese Ceatec event.
The new Panasonic device comes with a 13.2-megapixel camera and a 27mm wide-angle lens, although it doesn't have an optical zoom.
It'll be a similar size and weight to other smartphones and feature a 3.3" touchscreen display, although we don't yet know if it'll be available outside of Japan.
