PS Vita to face struggle?

There is plenty for us tech lovers to get excited about with the PS Vita handheld, but can the device stand out in such a packed market?
Such a question has been thrown out there following the comments of game developer Crytek's chief executive Cevat Yerli.
He was keen to stress that Sony's newest device "is an absolutely fantastic platform" but the might of current smartphones and tablets could hinder its success.
Yerli also suggested that the uniqueness of Nintendo's 3DS could throw another spanner into the plans of the PS Vita.
To sum up, Yerli said that "it's going to be a battle, and it will be about content and the platform's ability to receive the content".
While you wait for the PS Vita, why not snap up Sony's other gaming behemoth, the PlayStation 3 at Purely Gadgets?
