That is the gist of a new synthesizer from the Moog Foundation, set up in honour of electronic music pioneer Bob Moog.
Designed by Eric Persing of digital music software company Spectrasonics, the OMG-1 is one-of-a-kind synthesizer pairing a Mac Mini with two iPads and two iPod Touches.
Michelle Moog-Koussa, the executive director of the Bob Moog Foundation, explained to Synthtopia that the OMG-1 "represents the contemporary convergence of analogue and digital, hardware and software".
"I think Bob would applaud Eric's efforts to transcend boundaries in order to create an instrument with new and unique capabilities," she added.
