The rumours have been swirling over the Easter weekend that we are close to seeing the successor to the mighty Nintendo Wii.
Well, the Japanese console giant has gone public and announced that by the end of 2012, we will indeed have a new system to enjoy.
Nintendo revealed that its next home console, codenamed Project Cafe, is so much into its development stage that it will be playable at the E3 Expo in June.
To add further fuel to the excitement, the company's president Satoru Iwata has told Bloomberg News that "we would like to propose a new approach to home video game consoles" via the system.
While you wait for E3 to start up on June 7th, why not treat yourself to a Nintendo Wii via Purely Gadgets to sample some of the company's already released classics?
