Nikon 17-35mm F/2.8D ED-IF AF-S Nikkor Lens
£1195.95
It's all very hush-hush and exciting, slipping us little clues here and there to make sure our breath is properly baited before they reveal the goodies, but Nikon have been hinting at new plans for their camera range.
The firm is suggesting it may launch a new interchangeable-lens system camera that could adopt a 'mirror less' structure.
According to a Japanese press report, Nikon president Makoto Kimura has suggested that a 'new concept' camera could be released by them within the current financial year, so by next April in laymen's terms.
If this is true, it would be a rival to Panasonic and Olympus's 4/3 technology in their SLRs.
It's claimed the new camera would also feature improved video shooting capabilities.
Despite fears that the stand-alone camera might die a horrible death at the hands of the camera phone – latest stats reveal a 42 per rise in shipping numbers year on year - the industry remains optimistic.
Whilst you're awaiting the potential release of this mystical camera, check out the many other Nikon camera bodies and lenses we have to offer here at PurelyGadgets.
