Nintendo's revolutionary console the Wii has certainly captured many gamers' hearts since its launch in 2006.
Through its five-year life though, we have never seen a change in the design of the system, such as a slimmer version or minor tweaks.
That is until now, with the Japanese giant hoping to give the Wii a worthy farewell before its successor, the Wii U, hits stores next year.
Nintendo has revealed that a streamlined edition of the console will be out by the end of the year, complete with a new-look that will allow it to slot perfectly into a TV stand.
Wii Play and Wii Sports will both come bundled in the package, as well as a Wii Remote Plus and nunchuck.
Recently, Nintendo released its newest handheld, the 3DS, which can be snapped up now at Purely Gadgets.
