Laptops battle over battery life

One of the most irritating things about laptops today is unpredictability of battery life.
Well, three different manufacturers of laptops have all picked this moment to announce their solutions to that particular problem.
The new range of HP EliteBook laptops are claiming 32 hours of battery power between charges – although the company admits that this will require particular software and a separate HP BB09 Ultra Extended Life Notebook Battery to get the full effect.
Meanwhile, Lenovo has announced that its latest ThinkPad T420 business laptop has 30 hours of battery life with an extended battery, or 15 with its standard power source.
And earlier this week, Sony made similar claims about extended battery life for its new range of Sony Vaio S Series laptops.
