However, a new study by Jacob Creech from IntuitionHQ.com has suggested that Android may be just a whisker ahead of its rival, at least in terms of its apps.
Mr Creech gave testers either an Android app or its Apple iOS alternative to see reactions to the software.
Patience may be needed when you use an iPhone, with these apps sometimes taking longer to perform, though Apple often came up trumps on the style front compared to Android's options, the study found.
Purely Gadgets does not take sides though, with the iPhone 4 ideal for those wanting a chunk of Apple, while the HTC Incredible S should be enough to excite Android fans.
