After more leaks than a bucket full of Liberal Democrat MPs, it has finally been officially announced that the HTC Evo Shift 4G will be available in the US from January 9th.
Available from Sprint with a two-year contract for $149.99, around £100, the new offering from HTC is unfortunately not likely to hit these shores anytime soon as the UK does not have 4G mobile capability yet.
The phone comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.6-inch WVGA display, Android 2.2 operating system, 800 MHz processor with 512 MB of RAM, a five-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, and 720p video recording.
It also has all the usual gadgets like GPS and Wi-Fi.
All-in-all, it's not too different from the highly-rated HTC Desire Z, which is available in the UK right here at PurelyGadgets.
