We always get a buzz when summer comes along, especially with the return of those bee colonies.
However, mobile phones could be bringing these such wonderful scenes a rarer sight during the warmer seasons.
According to a study by Dr Daniel Farve, if you are using your device to make a call when near a bee hive, our buzzy friends may respond by making a swarming-like noise.
Following the phone conversation though, the bees calm down and begin to return to their natural way of life.
While bee expert Norman Carreck found the study "interesting", he rejected claims that mobiles play a key part in "colony collapse disorder".
However, to avoid a stinging wrath, you may want to stay away from a hive after purchasing a HTC 7 Trophy from Purely Gadgets in the future.
