A Brit has used his SLR camera to scoop top honours in a prestigious photography competition.
David Chancellor's photo of 14-year-old, and aptly-named, Josie Slaughter sitting astride a horse with a dead buck on her lap won first prize in the Taylor Wessing portrait competition.
Entitled Huntress with Buck, the picture was taken - shooting Kodak 160VC 120 film on a Mamiya 7 II camera - against a stunning South African backdrop.
Buoyed with a £12,000 cheque, the photographer said he wanted to capture the "contrast between the peace and tranquillity of the location plus Josie's ethereal beauty and the dead buck".
