Running out of battery on your mobile phone is enough of a pain, especially when no one seems to have the right charger for your device.
But there are plans afoot for a single standard phone charger that would remove a lot of the headache for HTC, Blackberry and iPhone users.
The European Commission has drawn up plans for a universal charger that has won support from major phone manufacturers including Nokia, Apple and Samsung.
Conrad Longmore, the editor of Mobile Gazette, reckons the idea is a good one.
He said it will be of "huge benefit to consumers in terms of flexibility and cost, and it will potentially eliminate a good deal of electronic waste".
For the moment, PurelyGadgets has a great range of chargers, as well as Mophie juice packs that mean phone users are not constantly plugging in.
